Will Ferrell shines in a dramatic role as an alcoholic businessman who holds a yard sale after being fired from his job and thrown out of the house along with his belongings by his fed-up wife. While living on his front lawn, he befriends a local kid and tries to reconnect with a girl he loved in high school.
