One of the more popular silent film serials to emerge from Europe during the first half of the Twentieth Century, Louis Feuillade's FANTOMAS (1913-14) stars René Navarre as the title character, the "criminal lord" of Paris, who succeeds at pulling off one dastardly crime after another via ruthless cunning and a swift ability to slip into whatever disguise best suits the moment. This box set contains all five installments of the FANTOMAS serial: FANTOMAS IN THE SHADOW OF THE GUILLOTINE (1913), JUVE VS. FANTOMAS (1913), THE MURDEROUS CORPSE (1913), FANTOMAS VS. FANTOMAS (1914), and THE FALSE MAGISTRATE (1914).
