In this classical music release, Russian maestro Gennady Rozhdestvensky conducts two concert mounted and broadcast in London and performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra - one on September 9, 1978, and another on August 31, 1979. The '78 performance features interpretations of Rimsky-Korsakov's Russian Easter Festival Overture, and Rachmaninov's Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 1 in F Sharp Minor, Op. 31; the '79 set features Shostakovich's Symphony No. 4 in C minor, Op. 43.
