Giuseppe Sinopoli: Dreampaths of Music - The Two Eyes of Horus

For the Dresden Staatskapelle's 450th anniversary, conductor Giuseppe Sinopoli decided to create a series of concerts called Dreampaths of Music to commemorate the milestone. This installment, Two Eyes of Hours, sets Strauss' Metamorphosen (among other pieces) to images of Egypt, drawing parallels between the European composition and the land of the pyramids. This disc presents the film in its original theatrical aspect ratio.
