The younger brother of gospel vocalist and choir director Edwin Hawkins, Walter Hawkins and his Love Center Choir became one of the most commercially successful gospel choirs of the 1970s and '80s, with a couple of million-selling albums to show. This compilation disc features a dozen tracks with vocals by Hawkins and various family members, including Tramaine Hawkins, Edwin Hawkins, Lynette Hawkins Stephens, and Shirley Miller, as well as tracks by the Love Center Choir. ~ Steve Leggett
