This edition of the GREATEST JOURNEYS series celebrates the history and role of music in South Africa. Bringing the country together at even the hardest times, music has long-held traditions among South African people. JOURNEYS OF THE FREEDOM SONGS explores South African culture as expressed through the music of Vuyisilli Mini, a political activist and songwriter who believed strongly in the power of song until the moment of his hanging in 1964.
