Heartwork [LP]

Loaded with breakneck percussion, shred-tastic guitar riffs, gut-punch Megadeth harmonies, and vocalist Jeff Walker's reptilian snarl, Carcass' HEARTWORK (1993) single-handedly influenced every band to emerge from the New Wave of Swedish death metal. This was quite a feat, as only one of the band members was actually Swedish; the other three called Liverpool, England, home. HEARTWORK was, and still is, an intoxicating combination of thrash metal technicality and death metal savagery.
