The music on Holly Williams's 2004 debut album, THE ONES WE NEVER KNEW, surprised many because it was decidedly not country music. The daughter of Hank Williams Jr. and the granddaughter of Hank Williams, Holly made the unexpected move of delivering a mature set of adult-oriented singer-songwriter music. After several years of life experience and recovery from a serious car accident, the Nashville chanteuse returned with HERE WITH ME, a contemporary country record complete with steel guitars and tons of twang. Songs such as the single "Keep the Change," which addresses recovery from a difficult breakup, and "Three Days in Bed," a song about a torrid affair with a Frenchman, retain the introspective character of her debut, aren't afraid to embrace the family tradition.
