Hipnosis

After releasing two albums to no success on Mercury, Shootyz Groove moved to Roadrunner for Hipnosis. Ironically, the group turned in their best, most focused effort to date on the indie label. Tempering the heavy metal influences that underpinned their previous two albums with punk, ska, rap and funk, Shootyz Groove sound more powerful and accomplished than before. While they aren't songwriters by any means, their riffs have never been more forceful, and Hipnosis delivers a hard-hitting funk-metal punk lacking from their previous work. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
