Yet another repackaging of Robert Charlebois' four albums recorded for the label Gamma between 1967 and 1971. This one took the shape of a three-LP set packed with 35 songs. Very comprehensive, it left out only a handful of cuts, mostly from Robert Charlebois [aka Le Mont Athos]. No unreleased material or rarities, only cheaply mastered copies of the original LPs -- a marketing scam to direct the listener to the singer's early opuses instead of his later albums for Barclay and Solution. Judging from the strength of his 1977 LP Swing Charlebois Swing, the task must not have been too hard. ~ François Couture
