America Goes Over

At nearly an hour in length, the historic film AMERICA GOES OVER guides the viewer though the U.S. involvement in World War I, from America's announcement that it was joining the war, on through the training of soldiers and several important battles. Created in 1918, the film was produced by the U.S. Army at the end of the war as a means to explain its own role in what President Woodrow Wilson called "mak[ing] the world safe for democracy."
