The documentary chronicles the longest hostage siege in New York Police Department history. In 1973, Shu'haib Raheem attempted to rob a store in Brooklyn. During the standoff, an officer was shot dead. NYPD psychologist Harvey Schlossberg ended the siege by relying on verbal communication rather than gun violence.
