THE HOLLOW CROWN: THE WAR OF THE ROSES collects three television films based on Shakespearean histories in a multi-disc set. Executive produced for the BBC by Sam Mendes and starring Benedict Cumberbatch, the series dedicates one movie to Henry VI, Part I, combines Henry VI, Part II and III into another film and concludes the saga of the War of the Roses with Richard III. Cumberbatch plays the infamous Richard III in a series that also features appearances from Judi Dench, Michael Gambon, Tom Sturridge, and Sophie Okonedo.
