Horse Whisperer

Robert Redford's lyrical romantic drama The Horse Whisperer comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1, and does a fine job of capturing the beautiful outdoor photography that is the highlight of the film. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. Supplemental materials include a theatrical trailer. This is a solid, if unspectacular release from Disney/Buena Vista, much like the film itself.
