The most hated man in the world becomes prey in the one-hour History Undercover: Hunting Hitler. As leader of the Nazi party, Adolf Hitler was universally despised. Several assassination attempts were made on his life, but Hitler seemed to live a charmed existence, escaping all of them unscathed. One of those raids, made by undercover operatives in his own group, is detailed here. In July of 1944, high-ranking officers tried to blow up Hitler's secret headquarters known as the Wolf's Lair. Though they succeeded in destroying the conference room, Hitler was only slightly injured. This and other failed plots make up the retelling of the hunt for Hitler.
