Icon: Number Ones

Universal's 2010 Icon is a 12-track collection of Janet Jackson's biggest hits, divided fairly evenly between her `80s blockbusters ("What Have You Done for Me Lately," "Nasty," "When I Think of You," "Miss You Much," "Escapade") and smashes from the `90s and beyond ("That's the Way Love Goes," "Together Again," "Make Me"). Not every one of her big hits is here -- "The Pleasure Principle," "Rhythm Nation," "Love Will Never Do (Without You)," "If," "Got Til It's Gone" are all MIA -- but this is a good sampler indicating the breadth and depth of Miss Janet's work.
