While clearly mainstream pop, this francophone star's English-language release isn't swamped by the kind of synthetic/generic backing that often characterizes trans-cultural success stories. The title track is heavily orchestrated and layered, but many other tracks have a clean, singer-songwriter sensibility with Voisine's acoustic guitar prominent in the mix.
