This wild live recording made in Europe captures keyboardist Paul Bley and vocalist/composer Annette Peacock during their "synthesizer show" phase, right around 1971. Bley was probably the first jazz musician of note to adopt the synthesizer as a primary instrument, and though the experiment was of short duration, it still yielded some fascinatingly forward-looking music, as evidenced on this disc. The Danish free-jazz percussionist Han Bennink makes a joyful noise throughout, and Peacock provides a typically wrenching vocal on her own composition, "Touching."
