After publicly lauding the stoner art metal band Om, David Tibet makes good on his promise to work with them with the split CD EP release, INERRANT RAYS OF INFALLIBLE SUN. As if stepping up to Om's challenge, the Current 93 side--complete with riffing electric guitars and shrieking bagpipes--features their heaviest work in years. For their part Om stay the course with their trademark bass throb and incanting vocals. An odd pairing on the surface, but one that ultimately finds common ground in the psychedelic properties of repetition.
