1978's INFINITY was easily one of the most important albums in Journey's career up until that point. While it did spawn one sizeable hit, "Wheel in the Sky," more importantly INFINITY was singer Steve Perry's debut with the band. While touches of Journey's early fusion/progressive leanings can still be detected, a new sound and approach was right around the corner. With Perry now in the line-up, the band would soon be rocketing up the U.S. singles and albums charts.
