In an alternate timeline, Superman is tricked into murdering Lois Lane by the Joker. Distraught over the loss of his wife, Superman's actions become increasingly militant and violent, leading him to establish his dictatorship over Earth to protect the planet from all threats, terrestrial or extraterrestrial.
