Into the Wild

Riveting, fact-based road movie featuring a brilliant star turn by Emile Hirsch. He plays college grad Christopher McCandless, who ditches a life of luxury and privilege to become a dedicated, though foolhardy, back-to-nature wanderer in the early 1990s. Directed by Sean Penn, who adapted his script from the Jon Krakauer bestseller. Eddie Vedder, of Pearl Jam fame, contributed some songs to the score.
