Journey to the Center of the Earth

Henry Levin's 1959 cinematic adaptation of Journey to the Center of the Earth comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. An English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround, a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo, and a Spanish soundtrack is available in Dolby Digital Mono. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, but this 20th Century Fox release boasts better than expected visual quality.
