In inner-city Lahore, the patriarch of a Pakistani family pressures his family to produce a grandson. He even pressures his daughter-in-law to quit her job to suit their situation, especially when his sons find a new job in an erotic dance theater. However, conflicts arise when his youngest son, Haider, falls in love with a theater dancer named Biba, who identifies as transgender.
