Jungle Jim and the Voodoo Tiger

Memphis music fixture Jim Dickinson has seemingly been around since the birth of rock & roll, contributing to many of its most significant moments, including playing on the Rolling Stones' STICKY FINGERS album as well as with Aretha Franklin, Alex Chilton, Dr. John, and the Flaming Groovies. His 2006 album JUNGLE JIM AND THE VOODOO TIGER synthesizes this wealth of experience, with covers of country classics like "Truck Drivin' Man" and R&B gems like Johnny Taylor's "Love Bone." JUNGLE JIM has the characteristic loose, good-time, rocking feel of most of Dickinson's solo efforts, given added depth by the heartfelt "Violin Bums" and the poignant "Out of Blue."
