The documentary tells the story of German football coach Otto Rehhagel and his years with the Greek national football team. Under his guidance, the Greek team made it to the Euro 2004 finals and won the football cup in an unprecedented victory, beating the world-renowned champion from Portugal. Despite coming from a different culture, Rehhagel managed to make champions out of underdogs.
