With 1964's THE UMBRELLAS OF CHERBOURG, composer Michel Legrand worked closely with director/writer Jacques Demy to craft one of the most beloved French musicals of all time. Although the film features Catherine Deneuve and Nino Castelnuovo as star-crossed lovers, Danielle Licari and Jose Bartel provide their resonant singing voices throughout the two-disc orchestral soundtrack, which includes the heartbreaking "La Gare (Guy S'en Va)."
