The drama film chronicles the ups and downs of a family in '70s Rome. In a patriarchal, misogynistic society, Clara faces a challenging time trying to raise her three kids while her husband indulges in an extramarital affair with his secretary. When Clara's gender dysphoric daughter Adri starts to dress up as a boy, Clara finds herself in uncharted territory.
