Though Larry Carlton is known as a jazz guitarist and Robben Ford is a venerated blues axeman, the pair finds plenty of common ground on this live recording from Tokyo. While both guitar masters contribute compositions to the set list, and things do close out with a version of Ford's signature song, J.B. Lenoir's "Talk To Your Daughter," there's no lack of jazzy licks here, as bits of blues, jazz, and rock go flying back and forth between the two fretboards of these six-string heroes.
