Writer-director George Gallo's impressive portrait of an artist as a young man features masterful performances by Trevor Morgan and Armin Mueller-Stahl. Morgan plays an aspiring painter who becomes the protégé to Mueller-Stahl's troubled Russian master, and both learn lessons in life and living from each other.
