Look at Life Again Soon

LOOK AT LIFE AGAIN SOON was recorded in London's Toe Rag Studio on a Studer 4-track. In a ProTools era, the choice typifies this L.A. band's commitment to the bare basics of rock; everything from their fuzzy, lollygagging bass parts to singer Coco's cool, detached-but-passionate vocals recalls any number of garage rock pounders from yesteryear. On "To Arms," The Ettes fuse surf and stoner rock, while the insouciant "Two Shakes" is an appealing psych-bubblegum hybrid.
