American singer Bertie has recently married her bandmate, European jazz musician Fred, and they settled down in the French countryside. But the recent death of Bertie's mom has her feeling blue, so Fred invites their old polyamorous flame, Lane, over. Flying from New Orleans, Lane's presence somewhat sparks old issues among the three. But Lane also finds the time to have dalliances with a local woman named Noa.
