J. Lee Thompson's Western MacKenna's Gold comes to DVD with a pair of transfers. The widescreen anamorphic image preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1 and is preferable to the standard full-frame picture. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.0 and Dolby Digital Stereo. English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, and Thai subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include talent files, bonus trailers, production notes, and a theatrical poster. This is a very strong disc of an entertaining film.
