Umphrey's McGee have picked up the "progressive" jam band mantle since Phish went into retirement, and MANTIS is their most song-oriented and cohesive album so far. Epic-length jam workouts like the two-part, ten-minute "Cemetery Walk" are interspersed with a handful of three-minute pop songs like the opening "Made To Measure" that could conceivably be pop radio material.
