McMillan & Wife: Season Three

One of the most popular detective shows of the 1970s (and star Rock Hudson's most prominent project in his next-to-last decade), MCMILLAN AND WIFE debuted on NBC in late September 1971, and took its final bow in August 1977. In the program, Hudson played San Francisco Police Commissioner Stewart "Mac" McMillan - a man whose beautiful wife, Sally (Susan St. James) repeatedly stumbled onto criminal cases and pulled him into them. The two then set about solving the cases together, with lots of tension and intermittent doses of humor. The series spent most of its run as one-third of the rotating NBC Mystery Movie, and maintained high ratings throughout. Season Three of the series originally ran from September 1973 through February 1974, and contained six episodes, all of which appear in this box set. Installments include: DEATH OF A MONSTER. . . BIRTH OF A LEGEND, FREEFALL TO TERROR, THE MAN WITHOUT A FACE, and REUNION IN TERROR.
