Me Está Gustando

The 20th album by Banda Los Recoditos follows plenty of fanfare. Its first single, "Pistearé," spent more than ten consecutive weeks at the top of the Mexican Regional Music radio charts. The set is also notable for three songs that pay tribute to legendary Mexican musicians. "Tatuajes" is perhaps the most personal of these -- it's dedicated to late mentor and friend Joan Sebastian, "No Llega el Olvido" is for Jenni Rivera, and "Recuérdenme Así" is for Luis Fernando Muñoz Castro. These bittersweet songs aside, the album is full of danceable, celebratory bandas, romanticos, and rancheras by some of Mexico's top songwriters, including Luciano Luna, Ernesto Barajas, Espinoza Paz, Horacio Palencia, and Abraham Ramos.
