For the most part, Butler reinterprets classics such as "Little Drummer Boy," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," and Donny Hathaway's "This Christmas." The best material is the most intimate -- just Butler with his guitar and little in the way of ornamentation. There are two Butler originals here: the tranquil title track and the equally open-hearted "Happy Holidays." ~ Andy Kellman
