Mohammed Jimmy Mohammed Trio and Han Bennink

The Ethiopian-born world musician Mohammed 'Jimmy' Mohammed headlines this unique concert film, which finds him backed up by the trio of krar player and vocalist Messele Asmamaw, kebero player and vocalist Asnaqe Guebreyes, and Han Bennink on drums. Director Stéphane Jourdain shot it live at the MC93 in Bobink, Parris, as part of the 2006 Banlieues Bleues Festival. As such, it represents one of the last recorded performances featuring Mohammed.
