Mud Digger, Vol. 6

Colt Ford's "music for mud-bogging" series reaches Vol. 6 with this compilation, and the new ideas keep coming, such as the opening "Mud Digger Mega Remix," which is just as massive as it sounds. It's also interesting that Bubba Sparxxx gets the taste for some Creole on his Big Easy-praising "Mardi Gras," and while bog noises never sounded funky before, the clever "Swampy" from J Rosevelt loops frog burps and murky bubble bursts for a whole new mud-diggin' experience. Most everything else kicks the party up a notch with the rap-meets-country and beer-meets-booze attitude of previous volumes, so try an earlier edition for something straight up the middle or start here to hear just how far and wide this mud can fling. ~ David Jeffries
