In Disney's lushly animated MULAN, the title feisty heroine doesn't quite fit in with her village's "proper" Chinese girls. However, when the country is invaded by brutal Huns, the odd-duck maiden springs into action, disguising herself as a man and taking her ailing father's place in the army.
