New Jack City/Menace II Society

Two classic urban crime dramas are included in this collection, featuring stars such as Wesley Snipes, Samuel L. Jackson and Ice-T. NEW JACK CITY (1991), directed by Mario Van Peebles (who also co-stars in the film) follows a crime lord named Nino Brown, who has established the powerful drug-dealing gang Cash Money Brothers, and his efforts to regain control of his empire after an undercover cop (Ice-T) posing as an addict infiltrates his crew. MENACE II SOCIETY (1993), directed and written by Allen and Albert Hughes, tells the story of Caine Lawson (Tyrin Turner), a small-time hustler in the Watts section of Los Angeles, and his friend O-Dog (Larenz Tate), who are looking to become street kingpins. Together, the pair teams with dangerous associates as they continually run afoul of the law, as well as rival hustlers and criminals.
