Note of Hope: A Celebration of Woody Guthrie, conceived by Woody Guthrie's daughter Nora Guthrie, draws primarily on unpublished writings Woody Guthrie did between 1942 and 1954. The tribute project was musically assembled by bassist Rob Wasserman and features Wasserman's collaborations with a varied assortment of artists, writers, and arrangers, including Lou Reed, Studs Terkel, Van Dyke Parks, Pete Seeger, Tom Morello, and others.
