After shooting to fame as "The People's Joseph" by winning the BBC's Any Dream Will Do talent contest, Lee Mead has turned his back on The Technicolor Dreamcoat and released his second solo LP. With Nothing Else Matters, Mead takes on some of the songwriting himself and mingles it with interpretations of established pop classics from some of his idols. Spandau Ballet's "Across the Barricades" and Train's "Drops of Jupiter" sit alongside standards like "Time to Say Goodbye." Included is "When the Stars Go Blue," a duet with Hayley Westenra, and the lead single "Nothing Else Matters."
