An untimely death sees the convergence of the lives of multiple people lost in love. Alice, Michel's unhappy wife, finds a man who worships her in Joseph. Marion, a young server, also finds love, but in the arms of Evelyne, a woman 20 years her senior. Armand, on the other hand, successfully extorts money from an emotionally unavailable Michel by posing as Marion.
