While distinguished by the female keyboardist/vocalist Michele Walter, Canada's Farewell To Freeway otherwise carry the familiar traits that will endear them to screamo advocates: barking vocals that alternate with melodically sung mid-sections and pummeling verses that bridge their way into soaring choruses before finding their way to inventive breakdowns. ONLY TIME WILL TELL also has the metal brutality of fellow Great White North thrashers like Buried Inside, providing otherwise boilerplate genre examples like "No Fate, No End" with serious menace. Per their album title, Farewell's future is yet to be determined, but seems promising based on this solid sophomore release.
