Orphans of the Storm

Considered one of D.W. Griffith's best films, the silent Orphans of the Storm comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.33:1. Supplemental materials include a filmed introduction from the legendary Orson Welles, footage from D.W. Griffith's funeral, a still photo gallery, a radio eulogy for Griffith delivered by fellow director Erich Von Stroheim, and the 1908 short film Rescued From an Eagle's Nest. This is an excellent disc for anyone with an interest in the earliest days of film.
