After a rabies-like virus breaks out that turns people into rage-fueled zombies, a man with the ability to communicate with the infected works with a small group of human survivors to find the first patient and develop a cure. After catching a calm infected man known as The Professor, they realize the virus is evolving and there might not be hope for humanity to survive.
