Scott Mechlowicz is outstanding in this inspiring, fact-based tale of a seriously injured college gymnast who tries to make a comeback. Nick Nolte is effective as the blue-collar mentor who helps him get back on his feet and back into competition. Directed by Victor Salva from a script by Kevin Bernhardt, who adapted the autobiographical best seller "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman, the character played by Mechlowicz.
