A ranger searches for the villains who framed his fiancée's brother in a robbery in this less than lavish silent Western produced by poverty row's William Steiner. Leo Maloney and his frequent leading lady, Josephine Hill, star as the ranger and the fiancée, respectively, with Leonard Clapham (later known as Tom London) and Jim Corey as the villains. Hill's weakling brother was blackmailed into committing the robbery but never followed through; Clapham and Corey then took over. Maloney's faithful dog Bullet uncovers evidence that points to the young man's innocence, and the true culprits are apprehended. It had all been done many times before and often better. Working almost exclusively in the independent field, Maloney later produced, directed, and acted in the first ever sound Western, OVERLAND BOUND (1929). Sadly, he died of a heart attack prior to the film's release.
