Herbert Brenon's 1924 silent rendition of Peter Pan gets a superb DVD release from Kino Video. The transfer is a standard full-frame 1.33:1 picture (as it should be for any film produced before 1955), and it has been created from 35 mm archive elements. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. An orchestral score by Philip C. Roth is included, as is an essay by film historian Frederick C. Szebin. Photo galleries, production stills, promotional materials, and memories from actress Esther Ralston round out this engaging disc that will appeal to film historians as well as silent film aficionados.
